“विद्यार्थीसँग मेयर”- Interact Club Of skyrider

In today’s world, quality education plays an indispensable role to develop a country. So, it is very necessary to ensure that all the citizens, especially young people are getting quality education. Project “विद्यार्थीसँग मेयर” is a small effort to create a platform where the Local Government can directly interact with the students and have a live discussion to solve different kinds of education related problems within that municipality. Interact Club of Skyrider and Teenager’s Collaboration was able to successfully conduct this project for the first time ever in Ratnanagar Municipality where the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Basic Education officer addressed the questions, complaints and suggestions of the students.

Introduction:

Project “विद्यार्थीसँग मेयर” is a small effort to create a platform where the Local Government can directly interact with the students and have a live discussion to solve different kinds of education related problems within that municipality. Interact Club of Skyrider and Teenager’s Collaboration was able to successfully conduct this project for the first time ever in Ratnanagar Municipality where the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Basic Education officer addressed the questions, complaints and suggestions of the students.



Objectives:

To ensure transparency and accountability of Ratnanagar Municipality.

To provide a platform to the students which helps their voice reach directly to the local government.

To improve communication and debate skills among young students.

 

Project summary:

The program was conducted on 20th February, 2022 on the Conference Hall of Ratnanagar Municipality. It began at around 11 am where the Chief Guest was our Mayor of Ratnanagar Municipality, Mr. Pralhad Sapkota. Special Guest was Deputy Mayor of Ratnanagar Municipality, Mr. Yadav Pathak.

 

The guests were Municipal Education Officer Mr. Badri Narayan Sharma, Advisor Mr. Ramhari Neupane and All ward chairpersons from 16 wards of Ratnanagar Municipality. After the Batch distribution to all the guests, we sang our National Anthem. Then welcome speech was given by co-founder of Teenager’s Collaboration, Mr. Bikash Adhikari. Then our Mayor watered the plant to formally inaugurate the program.

After that, welcome dance was performed by six students from Unique Academy followed by poem recitation from Itr. Nimisha Bhatta. Then thr Mayor gave his speech and best wishes for the program. After that President of Interact Club of Skyrider, Itr. Dipika Pandit gave Vote of Thanks. Then the formal session was ended by the program chairperson, Itr. Divyesh Adhikari. After the ending of formal session, we had a small informal presentation from Itr. Oshu Neupane. The presentation was about the basic details of Ratnanagar Municipality. Then, Frequently Asked Questions were discussed with Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Education Officer in front of the students. Finally, the real interaction began. The students were provided a wireless mic through which they could ask questions directly to the Mayor. About 60 students all across the municipality actively participated in this interaction. They raised questions and provided suggestions to the local government about the ways to improve the quality of education in Ratnanagar municipality. We then had a lunch break for an hour. After lunch break, we had a quiz. We asked 10 basic questions about our Municipality to the students. First student to raise hand and answer correctly was provided a gift hamper of 1000 MAH Power Bank Sponsored by Expert Education and Visa Services. 10 students were able to receive the gift hamper from the hands of our Mayor. Then the floor was given to our Mayor who addressed all the questions from students. The Deputy Mayor and Municipal Education Officer also addressed the questions raised by the students.

Then it was time for token of Love. All the chief guest, special guest and guests were provided a small plant as a token of love. We also provided certificate of appreciation to our Organizing Committee Members. After certification ceremony, we clicked a group picture of the students with Mayor. Then the program ended.

Conclusion: This project is one of the best and most fruitful projects conducted by Interact Club of Skyrider. We were able to receive huge appreciation from our Mayor as this program was conducted for the first time in Ratnanagar Municipality. It also helped to promote Brand Centre of Interact Club in our community. Overall, we can say this was a massive success.

In harmony with Rotary International President Rtn. Gordon R. McInally’s theme of ‘CreateHope in the World’ and Interact District’s theme ‘Interact For Impact’, I am filled with optimismto have seen dedicated leaders embark on the noble path of service, creating a milestone impact. Every single Rotarian, Rotaractor, and Interactor is to be equally thanked and praised for how far the interact movement has come. By embracing opportunities, leading by example, and fostering fellowship, I am confident that the Interact movement has flourished magnificently, serving as a source of inspiration and cherished lifelong experiences.

The accomplishments of District 3292 in the past years have been truly inspiring and noteworthy. Through impactful service projects and active involvement, District 3292 consistently strives to make a positive difference, setting a remarkable example of what Interact stands for. Looking ahead, I firmly believe that Interact District 3292 and the entire Interact movement will continue to prosper and have profound significance.

This year, I am sure to see the same enthusiasm and leadership and its impact on the entire Interact movement. I strongly encourage all the Interactors to wholeheartedly embrace the new challenges and opportunities that await them with an open mind and a positive outlook.
