September 28, marks World School Milk Day (WSMD) as designated by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), which started in 2000. This global celebration is in its’ 22nd year and will be celebrated across the world. It has become an annual event on the last Wednesday of September held in many countries throughout the world. World School Milk Day aims to highlight the important role that dairy plays in the lives of school-going children.

Objectives :

The objective is to create awareness and inform the school communities of how dairy meets the nutritional needs of children, the Day provides an opportunity to focus attention on milk and to publicize activities connected with milk and the milk industry. The fact that many countries choose to do this on the same day lends additional importance to individual national celebrations and shows that milk is a global food.

Project Summary :

The Event was started from 1.15 pm. It went excellent, attendees’ active participants & helpful speech by the guests were the main points of the event. Everyone tried their best to pay attention to the dais which went well as planned. Everything was concluded – from the Exchange of knowledge to motivating others.

The event aimed to aware students about the importance of Milk(healthy lifestyle)how milk can build up our strength both mentally as well as physically & how unhygienic foods make us weak, we succeed to share the required knowledge about both subjects with our fellow colleagues & Interactors. The event was conducted all under values of time, Speech of guests & welcome speech by our School’s Vice Principal Mrs. Reshma Thapa & Ending Speech by our School’s Principal Mr. Narayan Niraula, Everything ended up well. This event’s motto is to bring out the will of consuming healthy foods & drinks. The Event Was completed at 3.20 pm. We would love to conduct more fruitful programs in coming days. After the event, there was refreshment just before everyone left the place (a cup of milk & a packet biscuit), for all the attendees, volunteers, staffs, host & guests for their astonishing performance.

Distribution of Milk to Rest Students was already concluded probably at 2.45 pm before hall one’s was distributed.

Feedbacks :

Feedbacks were really good. The organizers appreciated our work, they advised us to continue awareness programs that can help/boost up both the community and the club. Participants requested us to run more programs like today’s one which can make students aware of problems they can face in future. There requests were accepted by the organizers & the management, we are very soon going to conduct different programs in our School/Community.

Feedback by Rotary Club of Panauti’s President – He appreciated our work, advised us to run more helpful events & reminded us to take help from the parent club in need.

Conclusion :

The program ended up well, active participants of the students, Interactors, staffs etc. made the event better to run. The advises given by Milk Specialists who were in event as the guest were very useful to everyone. We wish the Event may had made a good impact on our school & the club. We’re in state of content as we succeed to reach the target of reminding students about the importance of healthy lifestyle. We wish the event surely may have a positive change in their daily lives.
