On 25th October, Interact club of Siddhartha Vanasthali Institute, Panauti in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Panauti celebrated deepawali playing deusi bhailo in Panauti.

The Program strated from 1.30 pm and ended up at 5.00 pm.

Description

Introduction:

Deusi and Bhailo are traditional songs that are sung during the festival of Tihar in Nepal. After finishing the Laxmi puja in every household, children and teenagers gather together and sing this song along with traditional dance, and they go to various houses in the community. They collect money, sweets, sel rotis and other special delicacies prepared during the festival. It is believed that singing the song brings the blessing of prosperity to the houses. Generally, Bhailo is sung by girls, while Deusi is sung by boys.

On 25th October, Interact club of Siddhartha Vanasthali Institute, Panauti in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Panauti celebrated deepawali playing deusi bhailo in Panauti.

Objectives:

The main objective of the event was to collect the fund for mensturation health management and reusable sanitary pad trainings in schools for school girls. Preservation of our culture and tradition has always been a important part of playing deusi & bhailo on tihar’s occasion.

Project summary:

We gathered at our school first and then we headed towards Panauti Layaku Durbar. Team of Interact Club of Siddhartha Vanasthali Institute was led by Rotaract Interact Coordinator Rtr. Jaya Magarati. With the proper coordination and collaboration of Rotaract Club of Panauti and Interact Club of Siddhartha Vanasthali Institute, the event was very awesome. It was a whole package of fun and learning. Many tourists as well as local people were enjoying our deusi bhailo program at Layaku Durbar.
          The fund collected would be used for the menstruation project (the signature project of IC SVI) in collaboration with RAC Panauti.

Feedbacks of attendees:

  • Feedbacks from the locals were very positive & motivating. they got chance to know about our clubs, our club’s work, why there are clubs like ours & so on. They advised us to run awareness events, development related events even more in coming days.

Conclusion: 

The Event was a huge success, full of fun and enthusiasm. We the Interactors of Siddhartha Vanasthali Institute, Panauti & the Rotaractors of Rotaract Club of Panauti worked together as a team to reach the goal. The day was whole full of fun & enthusiasm all along the ending time of the event. The fund collected from individuals will be used for heath related subject as mentioned before.

I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations to Itr. Itr. Beepin Subedi and the entire team on the successful completion of a remarkable year filled with the power of selfdiscovery and exploration.

In harmony with Rotary International President Rtn. Gordon R. McInally’s theme of ‘CreateHope in the World’ and Interact District’s theme ‘Interact For Impact’, I am filled with optimismto have seen dedicated leaders embark on the noble path of service, creating a milestone impact. Every single Rotarian, Rotaractor, and Interactor is to be equally thanked and praised for how far the interact movement has come. By embracing opportunities, leading by example, and fostering fellowship, I am confident that the Interact movement has flourished magnificently, serving as a source of inspiration and cherished lifelong experiences.

The accomplishments of District 3292 in the past years have been truly inspiring and noteworthy. Through impactful service projects and active involvement, District 3292 consistently strives to make a positive difference, setting a remarkable example of what Interact stands for. Looking ahead, I firmly believe that Interact District 3292 and the entire Interact movement will continue to prosper and have profound significance.

This year, I am sure to see the same enthusiasm and leadership and its impact on the entire Interact movement. I strongly encourage all the Interactors to wholeheartedly embrace the new challenges and opportunities that await them with an open mind and a positive outlook. I urge Interact clubs to continue their tradition of excellence and strive for an even greater impact.
