Description
Introduction:
It was an event we jointly prepared to mentally prepare the patients that if there
is a will to get better there is a way. It was a simple way of making them feel
they have hope and never should let down of themselves. Though, physical
wellbeing of a person is very important we can’t just simply overlook the
mental being of a human being.
This event was conducted to bring some smiles in the ones who have been hurt and are facing difficulties. It might sound simple at first glance but when you really try to understand a simple smile changes your mood, your persona completely changes. The way you think changes and most of all good vibes will start to kick in which was the motive of this event.
Objectives:
1. To provide hope among the patients.
2. To make them realize that we are in this together.
3. To make them feel like home.
Project summary:
The preparation of the event started at 9:00 when the organizers and
volunteers gathered in front of Nepal National Hospital to discuss how the
program is going to be conducted. After the last check was made we went on
with bringing the flowers and at 10:30 we formally began the program. Then
all the guests were acknowledged of which we had cricketer Sakti Gauchan also
present with us that day. Then we proceeded towards the wards to give the
patients flowers where more than 13 volunteers participated. After the
distribution we all sat down with the patients and talked for a while to listen to
their story and gave hope that everything can be cured if you try it enough.
Feedbacks of attendees:
1. They were more than happy to see us. They further told that it may be a
small gesture but the mood was set for that day.
2.They further added that we should keep doing this as it does not take
much money but makes a lot of difference in the lives of the patients
facing life and death inside.
Conclusion:
The project was a huge success as it exceeded our targets of giving to 20-30 patients to more than 50.It was a good event also for the clubs that were joint for this project. We, all the organizers learnt that we can make much more difference in other’s lives even with less to give. It motivated the organizers to organize more events like this.
