Description

Introduction: 

We Interact Club of Delhi Public school hosted “INTERACT DREAMFIESTA LEAGUE”- a 2 day tournament with a set of 5 events each designed to provide a positive and supportive learning experience to empower individuals to grow as sportspersons and human beings. The events under INTERACT DREAMFIESTA LEAGUE ARE:- “THE KING OF LUDO” “THE CHESS SPOT” “PICASSO WITHIN (Art Competition)” “BADMINTON GLORY” and “CARROM CARNIVAL”. It was held on 19th May, 2023 and 20th May,2023 at 3 different spots in BPKIHS. The event evidenced a successful attendance of 200+ individuals including all 5 events. INTERACT DREAMFIESTA LEAGUE was sponsored by Practical Learning Academy, H.S Mini Market and Bikram Auto Parts.

Objectives: 

The main objective was to empower youths by the means of sports. The main aim behind INTERACT DREAMFIESTA LEAGUE was to provide a positive and supportive learning experience in which individuals are empowered to grow as human beings and sportspersons. Through participation in sports and games, a student gains various skills, experience and confidence that are helpful for developing their personality. Another important aspect of the event was to foster boost in self confidence, and personal growth. Another important aspect of the objective was to market INTERACT CLUB OF DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL and publicize the work of Interact and Rotary .

Project summary:

Interact Club of Delhi Public School has sucesfully completed their 2 days “INTERACT DREAMFIESTA LEAGUE” tournament on 19th May,2023 and 20th May,2023 at prime hotspots of BPKIHS, Dharan. The event evidenced participation of 120+ participation and 200+ attendees. The event was powered by Practical Learning Academy and co-powered by Bikram Auto Parts and H.S Mini Market. INTERACT DREAMFIESTA LEAGUE included a set of 5 tournaments:- The King of Ludo (Ludo Tournament); The Chess Spot (Chess Tournament); Picasso Within (Art Tournament); Badminton Glory (Badminton Tournament); Carrom Carnival (Carrom Board Tournamnet);

The event was formally inaugurated on 19th May,2023 at BPKIHS Mandir at 03:00 pm with the opening ceremony. Our Club Secretary Itr. Krish Agrawal and Vice President Itr. Rohan Pratik Chaudhary welcomed the guests with their remarks. The dias was graced by the presenc of Mr. Prajwal Bhandari (Founder, Practical Learning Academy); Itr. Mingsoma Rai (Zonal Interact Representative, Interact District 3292 Zone 1); Mr. Ratan Kumar (Head, Commerce Dept., Delhi Public School).

Further this was followed by The King of Ludo (Ludo Tournament) and The Chess Spot (Chess Tournament) which began simultaneously at BPKIHS Mandir from 03:15 pm onwards. The next event “The Picasso Within” (Art Competition) was held on 20th May,2023 from 10pm onwards at Lecture Hall,BPKIHS. The Picasso Within tournament was supported by Paubha Art Station. The judge for the event was Mr. Elan Shakya (Founder, Paubha Art Station). The winners were awarded prizes worth NPR 25000+ for the Art Competition. The event was a huge success and evidenced a participation of students from all different schools of Dharan.

The 4th tournament of INTERACT DREAMFIESTA LEAGUE was Badminton Glory. Badminton Glory was held on 20th May,2023 at BPKIHS Indoor Badminton Court from 01:30 pm onwards. The event was a huge success and got a huge number of participants. This was further followed by The Carrom Carnival (Carrom Board Tournament) and The Closing Ceremony  held at BPKIHS Mandir from 03:00 pm onwards.

Feedbacks of attendees:

    • The event was very well managed and I enjoyed it a lot. The coordinators were very sweet as well. Even though I have not won anything, this was one of the best events that I have ever taken part in. I called few of my friends too. They enjoyed it as much as me.
    • I am so happy today as I have won the third position for Ludo. When I came here, I thought I had no chance of winning because there were so many participants, But I won. And also the organization in very good, I love it.

                         THE CHESS SPOT:-

    • I am a beginner at Chess but all the organisers were very supportive and encouraging. I cannot believe that I crossed the first round too. From the registration desk to the opening ceremony and then competition, everything seems fascinating to me.
    • The event was very good. I liked it so much because all participants were also friendly and even the volunteers were so humble and sweet

                         PICASSO WITHIN:-

    • I really enjoyed the competition. I got to know about this event from Paubha Art Station. I was skeptical about taking part in this art contest. But, now that I am here, I think it was worth it
    • Me and my friends registered for this art competiton because it was Saturday and we wanted to go to an outing. But, it was such a fun event. I learned so much from the judge Mr. Elan Shakya and from my fellow participants as well.

                         BADMINTON GLORY:-

    • The event was going great. But there was mis management and I was not able to enjoy in Badminton as much as I enjoyed in The Chess competition. I even invited my cousins from Biratnagar to take part, they faced similar issues
    • I really loved the painting competition and this both. But in Badminton Competition there were many issues with the net and equipement as well, so, there were some problem, but it was one of the best competition I have ever been a part of.

                        CARROM CARNIVAL:-

    • Co-ordinator was very humble and sweet. Each round was ending and all rules were explained clearly, and she also answered all the questions properly.
    • It was my favourite tournament out of all events and it was very fun. I did not win but it is alright because I think it was definitely worth every penny.

     

Conclusion:   The event was successful in it’s impact and our expectation. We got more than 200+ attendees for the whole event. The fundraiser project also set example for youths to follow on importance of sports among youths.

In harmony with Rotary International President Rtn. Gordon R. McInally’s theme of ‘CreateHope in the World’ and Interact District’s theme ‘Interact For Impact’, I am filled with optimismto have seen dedicated leaders embark on the noble path of service, creating a milestone impact. Every single Rotarian, Rotaractor, and Interactor is to be equally thanked and praised for how far the interact movement has come. By embracing opportunities, leading by example, and fostering fellowship, I am confident that the Interact movement has flourished magnificently, serving as a source of inspiration and cherished lifelong experiences.

The accomplishments of District 3292 in the past years have been truly inspiring and noteworthy. Through impactful service projects and active involvement, District 3292 consistently strives to make a positive difference, setting a remarkable example of what Interact stands for. Looking ahead, I firmly believe that Interact District 3292 and the entire Interact movement will continue to prosper and have profound significance.

This year, I am sure to see the same enthusiasm and leadership and its impact on the entire Interact movement. I strongly encourage all the Interactors to wholeheartedly embrace the new challenges and opportunities that await them with an open mind and a positive outlook. I urge Interact clubs to continue their tradition of excellence and strive for an even greater impact. The dedication and devotion showcased by Interactors should not be limited to a confined space; rather, it should transcend boundaries and create a significant impact on communities and the whole Interact Movement.

I feel immense pleasure for getting an opportunity to express my views and happiness through this club Souvenir of RY 2023-2024. This Souvenir is one of the important documents and covers the information. I hope this Souvenir will definitely give more information about the team members to make strong coordination and communication to make better world.
Rotary International President of RY 2023-2024, R. Gordon R. McInally called for members to capture the world's attention and lead the way toward possibilities far beyond our current expectations. McInally, revealed the 2023- 24 presidential theme “Create Hope in the World”. He urged members to promote peace in troubled nations, help those affected by conflict, and maintain the momentum of initiatives begun by past leaders.
We must understand that we engage ourselves in service projects for the poor and needy communities and we can change the lives of those who are suffering. Rotary leadership, despite the fact that lasts only for one year, can be life changing if we can use the potential of our team and members of the club.
