Introduction:
Providing an art webinar in an orphanage can be a meaningful and impactful experience for both the children and the facilitators. Here are some of the potential benefits of offering art webinars in orphanages:
Promoting creativity: Art is a form of self-expression that can encourage creativity and imagination. By providing art webinars, children in orphanages can have the opportunity to explore their artistic abilities and develop their own unique styles.
Boosting self-esteem: Creating art can be a confidence building experience. By providing positive feedback and encouragement, facilitators can help children in orphanages feel proud of their creations and boost their self-esteem. Therefore,we organized this event to promote art and design practices in community.
Objectives:
1)Promoting Art and Design through club
2)Encouraging to pursue hobbies
3)Offering a therapeutic outlet
Project summary:
On the occasion of Saraswati Puja on January 26th,members from Interact Club Kathmandu were thrilled to organize”कला आरम्भ” , a fellowship program in children’s home at Naya Nepal Samaj Centre, Minbhawan. We were grateful that we could provide art supplies and stationery items as well as spend quality time with the children. We were ecstatic to see their eagerness and enthusiasm to learn new things, and we hope that this small step encouraged them to pursue their passion in art.
We appreciate the assistance, cooperation, and participation of members of the Interact Club of Kathmandu and the Rotary Club of Kathmandu in this event.
For the donation, the club had planned to put NRs. 7000/- for stationery items and the estimated budget for art supplies came to Nrs. 6000/-. We were extremely grateful to receive a some donation from the Rotary Club of Kathmandu so we could provide art supplies so that they can pursue their interest.
