The project “MUSKAAN” was a charity project initiated by the Interact Club of YALA. The interactor of Interact Club of YALA went to the orphanage named Conflict Victim and Disabled Society located at Sankhu which is a non-profit social organization established in 2005 with a mission to enhance opportunities and uplift the livelihood of conflict victims and children with disabilities in Nepal. It was a service-oriented
project which was led by Itr. Sumana Bajracharya as an Event Chair and Itr. Molly Khatri as a Co-Event Chair.
1. To provide educational materials for orphans’ education betterment.
2. To provide warm clothes.
3. To engage orphans and disabled children by grooving them into an interactive environment.
4. To fulfill the objective of our previous event “Drishya”
5. To interact and learn the reality of social organization.
The Interact Club of YALA successfully carried out Project “MUSKAAN” in which the Interactors visited an orphanage. First, the youngsters and interactors made introductions to one another. We talked to everybody there. Additionally, we used erasable tattoos. We were also shown the children’s drawings there. We also learned about the life of Mr. Yub Raj Thapa, the founder of Conflict Victim and Disabled Society, who despite having a disability himself has been helping other disabled children and orphans integrate into normal society. We spent the entire day with the kids and at the end of the day, we gave them some school supplies and some clothes in good shape.
The “MUSKAAN” event went incredibly well all around. We were very happy with how this project turned out. It completely achieved the goal and benefited the community as well as the club. The newest member got to know the true purpose of our club which further helped in our club avenue.
