Project summary:
For this project, the representatives of Interact Club of Golden Gate Int’l College with Interact Club of New Road City and Interact Club of Albert visited New Life Nepal which is an orphanage located at Narayantar. There our guest speaker Shikha Thapa educated the children about water, where water comes from, the importance of water and how to save water. This formal event was followed by an informal session where we interacted with the kids and learnt about their physical and intellectual disabilities which helped us learn about the difficulties faced by the children with various disabilities and how their disabilities affect their lives. We also talked to the director of the orphanage and discussed possible future events. The children were amazed and shared about their learning about the clean water.
Conclusion: Thanks to the active participation of the organizers and the attendees, the event went splendidly. We were able to spread awareness about the importance of water and believe it will help make a change in the society.
