Introduction:
From 29th November onwards, we conducted a program named “The Sight”. This program was conducted for the students at Skyrider school. The medicines and basic required materials for checkup was sponsored by Rotary Club of Ratnanagar. This program lasted for about 4 days.
Objectives:
1. To find out severe cases of eye diseases among students.
2. To create an awareness among young students to maintain healthy eyesight and take care of eyes.
Project summary:
With a plan to make all the students of Skyrider school free from eye diseases, we interactors from Interact Club of Skyrider conducted a free eye camp (The Sight). The program began on 29th November, 2022 and lasted up to 2nd December, 2022. The camp used to begin everyday at 10:30 am and end at 4:00 pm. Simultaneously, the process was done for 4 days. Three Opthalmic Assistants from “Bharatpur Eye Hospital” came regularly to check the vision of students. About 128 students were found to have some defect in their refractive lens of eyes. On the last day, we ended the program formally under chairmanship of Itr. Dipika Pandit, President of Interact Club of Skyrider. There was presence of President of Rotary Club of Ratnanagr, Rtn. Ramhari Lamsal as Chief Guest, President of Rotaract Club of Ratnanagar, Rtr. Manish Baniya as guest, President of Ratnanagar Eye Hospital, Mr. Pratap Dallakoti as guest along with some rotarians, rotaractors and interactors. The program was hosted by Itr. Sakshi Sinkhada. Best wishes speech was given by our guest, Mr. Pratap Dallakoti. Then the program was formally ended by Itr. Dipika Pandit. After that, all those 128 students with defect were provided with medicines and eye drop as well as glasses. The program informally also ended at 5:00 pm.

The vice principal of Skyrider School, Mr. Narayan Prasad Shrestha was very happy that IC Skyrider conducted such a effective and productive program in such a grand scale. He believes “The Sight” is a milestone and we interactors did a great job.
Conclusion: All the members of IC Skyrider worked very hard as volunteers to make this program successful. It was effectively conducted.
