Valmiki Fest-2079” is an Inter-school ECA Olympiad conducted to provide a platform to showcase the exceptional skills of the students. It was organized by Interact Club of Valmiki and was chaired by Itr. Bishaka Adhikari, Club Service Director of Interact Club of Valmiki. After the tremendous success of Valmiki Fest-2078 the previous year, we developed the concept of Valmiki Fest-2079 as a Running Shield to continue the tradition with more activities and excitement. The program was two days long. It is one of the biggest and most amazing ECA events ever held in the Chitwan district.

Introduction:
“Valmiki Fest-2079” is an Inter-school ECA Olympiad conducted to provide a platform to showcase the exceptional skills of the students. It was organized by Interact Club of Valmiki and was chaired by Itr. Bishaka Adhikari, Club Service Director of Interact Club of Valmiki. After the tremendous success of Valmiki Fest-2078 the previous year, we developed the concept of Valmiki Fest-2079 as a Running Shield to continue the tradition with more activities and excitement. The program was two days long. It is one of the biggest and most amazing ECA events ever held in the Chitwan district.
Objectives:
• To showcase the skills and intelligence of students in different extracurricular activities.
• To build the confidence and self esteem
• To increase the creativity of the students.
• To develop social interaction among the students.
• To help students increase their learning interest.
• To expose the talents of the students.
Project summary:
The program was divided into two days. On the first day, the registration opened at 10
am. After the registration, the program formally started at 12 pm. The program was inaugurated
with respected dignitaries by lighting the lamp. It was then followed by the National Anthem along
with the Rotary Anthem. The Secretary of Interact Club of Valmiki presented her welcome speech.
After the opening ceremony, participants proceeded to the allocated rooms for their respective
events. As the program was divided into two days,
On Day 1 the selection rounds were conducted for the main events. While on Day 2 the finals were
done.

On the 1st day, the selection round was conducted. Among the 8 participating schools, 5 were selected in
the selection round.

Aroma English Secondary School was able to secure 1st position. Similarly, Narayani Model Secondary

The topic for the poem was given on the spot. Participants were given a total 2 hour time in which they
were given 1 hour for poem writing and then they recited their poem in the next hour. The judge pointed
out their flaws as well as praised their writings. The top 3 winners were announced on the 2nd day of
the program.

It was conducted on the second day. All the teams were directly sent for the final round without any selection round because of the guidance of respected judges . The participating schools were:

TITLE WINNER
Altogether there was participation of almost 200 students from 10+ schools. Students from different
schools won different events. Lastly, ‘Narayani Model Secondary School’ were awarded as the “TITLE
WINNER of Valmiki Fest-2079″ by gathering the most points among other schools.
Prize Distribution and Closing Ceremony:
Participants from different schools were able to bag medals and certificates in many
different events. The title winner was lastly announced after the distribution of prizes for
individual events. “Narayani Model Secondary School” were able to win the title winner
trophy by acquiring the highest points among all schools. They were congratulated with
medals and the title winner trophy along with certificates.
The certificate of appreciation was provided to the respected dignitaries and guests with a
token of love.
Following the certificate distribution program, the principal of the school gave his speech
congratulating on the success of the event. Lastly, the event formally ended with the
speech of the Event Chair.
Conclusion: Valmiki Fest- 2079 was a huge success. The school administration along with the students
really praised the program. As this is continued as a Running Shield, Valmiki Fest will be
much more merrier and exciting in coming years.
