Description

Introduction:
On 24 October, World Polio Day Rally organized by Rotary Club of Panauti in cooperation with Health Department of  Panauti Municipality and collaboration with Rotaract Club of Panauti and Interact Club of Siddhartha Vanasthali Institute. Rally was held in Panauti followed by interaction program on Rotary journey towards ending Polio from the earth. The event was just all full of fun, experience & knowledge.

Objectives

The main objective of this polio rally  was to aware people about polio, its cause & effect & to remind community people about world polio day. Rotary clubs have always been helping other clubs and performing awareness events since its origin. The reason why we are doing these awareness related events is because we want everyone who reach us know about the consequences related to the subject matter they can face in future. The mutual understanding & coordination among different clubs helped us to reach our goals in nearer time.

Feedbacks :

  • Feedbacks from the locals & participants were very positive & motivating. Locals, they knew about our clubs, our club’s work, why there are clubs like ours & so on. Participants had a good experience regarding awareness rally & coordination tasks. In addition, Community people discussed with the organizers about the cause & effects of the polio, importance of awareness programs, prevention of diseases in daily lives e.t.c.

Conclusion: The Event was a great success, community people of Panauti got a chance to know about polio & it’s cause & effect in a more clear way. People who were engaged in the rally event got a great experience regarding rally, polio & team work. All the Rotarians, Rotaractors & Interactors of there respective clubs by walking together, hand to hand on the awareness walk made the event a huge accomplishment. We were all able to reach our goals which was a positive sign for every organizer & attendance itself. After the event was over, there was a refreshment of tea & cookies for every participants & organizers. We ended up our event by a short speech from our Mayor of Panauti Municipality Mr Ramsharan Bhandari  & Short recall of every participants of the rally by Rtn. Madhusudhan Guragain Sir, President of Rotary Club of Panauti right at the location of indeswhor temple, Dabali – Panauti. The Rally moved on from Panauti park and it ended up at Indreswhor Mandir.

I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations to Itr. Itr. Beepin Subedi and the entire team on the successful completion of a remarkable year filled with the power of selfdiscovery and exploration.

In harmony with Rotary International President Rtn. Gordon R. McInally’s theme of ‘CreateHope in the World’ and Interact District’s theme ‘Interact For Impact’, I am filled with optimismto have seen dedicated leaders embark on the noble path of service, creating a milestone impact. Every single Rotarian, Rotaractor, and Interactor is to be equally thanked and praised for how far the interact movement has come. By embracing opportunities, leading by example, and fostering fellowship, I am confident that the Interact movement has flourished magnificently, serving as a source of inspiration and cherished lifelong experiences.

The accomplishments of District 3292 in the past years have been truly inspiring and noteworthy. Through impactful service projects and active involvement, District 3292 consistently strives to make a positive difference, setting a remarkable example of what Interact stands for. Looking ahead, I firmly believe that Interact District 3292 and the entire Interact movement will continue to prosper and have profound significance.

This year, I am sure to see the same enthusiasm and leadership and its impact on the entire Interact movement. I strongly encourage all the Interactors to wholeheartedly embrace the new challenges and opportunities that await them with an open mind and a positive outlook. I urge Interact clubs to continue their tradition of excellence and strive for an even greater impact. Rotary International President of RY 2023-2024, R. Gordon R. McInally called for members to capture the world's attention and lead the way toward possibilities far beyond our current expectations.
