It has been around promoting basic literacy for a long time. Each year the theme is different and this year’s agendas were about finances and debates encouraging youth participation more.
Objectives:
1. To let the youth of this generation be more eager to learn
2. To make the people attending this event be more likely to be able to socialize
Project summary:
The event we participated in was an event that has a sustained history of being conducted yearly. It was an honor to be a part of that event which has inspired many youths of today and will eventually inspire the youths of tomorrow. For the online events, we had an debate workshop, the debate session was well facilitated by the trainers and was interactive. The event commenced at the very own premises of Central College. Event was meant to get started from 10 in the morning. Registration started from 10:30. People started gathering up little by little and finally it started at 10:30.
Organizers began “Treasure Hunt”, where attendees piled up and surrounded the host of that game. It was super fun to see everyone get excited over the game and the way the host controlled and attracted the crowd over them. Although not many people were present as expected, but, those who were present were all hyped up. They made the entire programme memorable and full of excitement. After the game concluded, every winner and participants were handed over certificates.
It was followed up by a small snacks session. We drank ‘Charged’ energy drink, which was one of the sponsors of the event. Shortly after, ‘Charged’ announced dance competitions amongst the attendees. Everyone got excited not only because it was a dance but the sponsors also offered free drinks and passes for an event over each dance performed and also the highest energized point one gets from the dance. It was a moment full of suspense over who gets the highest points and who gives justice to the songs played. Overall we all sang and danced and that’s how it ended in a flashy way. After this day there was another session at the end of Yuva Yug and it was training session which was carried out by Rtn. Gyanendra Lal Pradhan. It was informative session that talking about investment and stocks.
Conclusion:
We learnt that socializing with people outside your comfort zone isn’t always bad. We need to socialize with our own generation and not just be trapped in our room scrolling and going back and forth on this loophole of social media and entertainment.
